Geological Field Trip at Mount Abu

A geological field trip was recently organized for B.Tech Civil Engineering students at Mount Abu, the highest peak of the Aravalli Range in Rajasthan. The trip provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the geological features of the region and gain hands-on experience in the field. The students were accompanied by Prof. Vikrant Jain and Prof. Vimal Mishra who guided them through the different rock formations, landforms, and geological structures in the area. The trip enabled the students to apply the theoretical concepts they learned in the classroom to real-world scenarios and appreciate the significance of geology in civil engineering projects. Overall, the field trip was an enriching experience for the students and helped them develop a deeper understanding of geology and its applications in civil engineering.
