Alok Kumar Thakur

Hi everyone, I am a Ph.D. scholar in the discipline of earth sciences at IIT Gandhinagar. I work at EEEL (Energy, Environment and Exposure Laboratory) group under the supervision of Prof. Sameer Patel. During my master's here, I worked on the mitigation of heavy metals with the help of lab-scale permeable reactive barriers. I also got hands-on experience with solid phase extraction and antibiotic-resistant bacteria. I also worked at the GBRC lab as a part of a SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection in wastewater project. My hobbies are going to the gym, binge-watching, and spending time with close ones. I have eternal love for mountains.
