Cognitive Archaeology
Research Interests : My research explores the cognitive evolution of early humans by examining their interactions with material culture. Drawing from cognitive archaeology, I investigate how ancient humans engaged with tools, symbolic artifacts, and their environment to infer cognitive capabilities beyond survival needs. By analyzing archaeological evidence—such as tool-making patterns, rock art, and settlement behaviors—I aim to identify cognitive shifts that distinguish human ancestors from other primates. This study also considers theoretical models from psychology and cognitive science to understand the role of memory, learning, and social cohesion in shaping early human cognition. Ultimately, my research seeks to contribute a methodological framework for studying cognition in prehistoric contexts.
