Research Interests : My research interest lies in Modern carbonate sedimentology, past sea level change, facies-microfacies analysis, and coastal morphology evolution. My field areas are near south Andaman and Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). The site holds particular importance as the region has shallow marine carbonate factories while tectonically active. The significant tectonic activity could modify coastal morphology leading to a more complex record of lateral facies distribution and sea-level fluctuations. I wish to shed some light on the modern carbonate environments of the areas and understand the history of recent sea level changes by integrating tectonic and eustatic components.
